This year, the SVC Winery Project attended the 55th edition of the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition.
The event hosted over 4,000 exporting companies from more than 30 countries, marking the debut of Serbia, Albania, and North Macedonia, which showcased their labels for the first time.
With 17 pavilions covering 100,000 square meters of exhibition space, Vinitaly is one of the most important platforms for promoting the wine industry, offering direct contact with all companies operating in the market.
At the request of producers and consortiums, the event organizers decided to create a distinct path for wine lovers from that of professional operators, by launching quality initiatives such as “Vinitaly and the City” and ensuring specific services for buyers.
Amid musical and literary events, two masterpieces of Italian art will also be on display: Caravaggio’s Bacchus and Guido Reni’s Bacchus, both arriving directly from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence for the occasion. The goal is to highlight how wine is not only an economic sector but also a cultural and identity-defining force.
The themes addressed in this edition were: included business, internationalization, and positioning, in a mix of events featuring tastings, masterclasses, talks, and meetings. The connection between wineries and artificial intelligence was also explored, which will open new frontiers in wine tourism in the near future.
The sector, recovering post-Covid, recorded a 16% increase in exports for our country last year, reaffirming its strategic importance to Italy, which, thanks to its biodiversity, is able to produce high-quality wines with unique characteristics.
The presence of major Asian and U.S. players marks the definitive reopening of wine markets, contributing to the phenomenon of cultural crossovers.
