SVC towards biomedical design
The SVC Winery Project flew to Düsseldorf to explore new companies in the packaging sector and deepen its knowledge of all the process technologies related to this field.
The trade fair, takes place every three years and covers all systems and devices system and devices for packaging, with a particular focus on food and beverage.
The pavilions, organized around to clear sectoral themes, help visitors navigate within the approximately 250,000 square meters of exhibition space, allowing visitors to easily find what they are looking for and to connect with all the opportunities offered by the global market.
By using target groups, the event has been divided into seven areas: food industry, beverages, confectionery and baked goods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food products, and industrial goods.
Approximately 2,700 companies from around the world presented solutions, technologies, and responses, contributing to the definition of trends that will shape the entire value chain in the coming years.
Packaging conveys all the information that companies aim to transfer to their target markets, and has always been the primary decorative element for products.
The themes of sustainability and recycling has also strongly influenced the choices of machinery manufacturers, who have adapted their portfolios to include mono-material packaging or packaging made from innovative materials;
The current challenges related to energy management and resource protection are inevitably driving a transformation in the sector, which is required to provide global solutions and meet high standards in terms of product safety, counterfeiting prevention, and traceability.
Digital technologies have also been at the forefront, enabling reduced time to market and the design of higherperformance products thanks to sensors and artificial intelligence algorithms.
