Participation in Cibus Tec 2023

For the past eighty years, Parma has hosted one of the most innovative events in the food and beverage sector: Cibus Tec. This highly specialized trade fair offers an opportunity to stay updated on emerging technologies related to the food industry.

With five dedicated pavilions and an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters, the event showcases highly automated production lines, allowing visitors to observe entire phases of product processing and packaging in action. The initiative, called Cibus Tec Industry, enables attendees to interact with the actual functioning of the machinery, supported by an ever-growing number of partners.

With the goal of engaging with industry experts and acquiring new skills, SVC Winery Project also participated in the event and interacted with the leading manufacturers in the agro-food industry, with particular focus on wineries and oil mills.

A central theme in the discussions was the increasingly important issue of “responsible” design, which takes into account not only space optimization but also the selection of the best materials and equipment to minimize operating costs and achieve high-quality standards. Among the innovations presented were reinforcedgrids with new shapes that prevent dirt accumulation, antibacterialplastics treated with silver ions, easy-to-maintainsanitization tools for production lines, and advanced product selectiontechnologies using artificial intelligence.

Another extremely interesting aspect of the fair was the opportunity to learn about some of the most promising research and development projects in the food sector. A group of selected startups presented their innovations, engaging in dialogue with established companies that, in turn, proposed alternative applications of these technologies depending on their specific industrial sector.
